There’s not much that gives me a better buzz than going to the gym. I love those post exercise endorphins and the muscle pump that a good session gives you. I always do my ab workouts on a Friday because I love them looking defined for the weekend. But sometimes you can’t make it to the gym. Maybe you’re too busy, too tired or you’re unable to exercise because of injury. Or maybe you’re just feeling a bit down about your body and need something to give you a bit of a confidence boost. We’ve all been there! So here are my top 5 tips that’ll get you feeling better about yourself in no time…Eat something healthy
Ok so eating one salad isn’t going to give you the body you’ve always dreamed of I’m afraid. But I always feel so good when I eat a healthy meal! When I eat unhealthy food I find it can make me feel sluggish and a bit greasy but healthy food seems to do the opposite to me. Give the Dominoes a miss, find a nice little brunch place near you and go crazy with the eggs and avo.
I am an absolute sun worshipper and love that gorgeous glow you get from a holiday in the sun. Let’s face it though, if you’re from England like I am, you’re probably not seeing much sun throughout the year. Even if you live in a hot country, it’s still not great for your skin to be scorching in the sun 24/7 and you might be too busy to lounge by the pool all day. Well, hello fake tan. I always feel so much better about myself when I’m tanned and so if I need a bit of a confidence boost, you know the fake stuff is coming straight out. I really think everyone looks better with a tan and find it really helps my abs to pop. I’m a big fan of Bondi Sands because it gives you lovely coverage, no weird yellow tinge and it only costs £10 a bottle. #priorities
Go to the hairdressers
I’m pretty sure I always leave the hairdressers with a spring in my step. I love how bouncy and light my hair feels afterwards and I spend the rest of the day flicking and swishing it everywhere. I recently got some blonde highlights put in and it was so exciting to make such a big change so quickly.
Treat yourself to a new outfit
Go shopping and find something flattering. As a complete fitness fanatic, I love buying a new pair of gym leggings or a pretty sports bra. Not only are gym leggings really flattering but I also find that new gym kit really motivates me to work out. If this doesn’t motivate you to get to the gym then at least you’ll still have some comfortable new leggings to watch Netflix in!
Go for a walk
If you’ve been following me for a while then you’ll know that walking is one of my favourite ways to exercise. I find that it’s a really good way to lose weight and it will help to tone up your legs. I do three resistance workouts a week as well but if you’re not ready for something so intense then walking is a great entry into fitness! I find that there’s nothing better than a good walk to get a bit of me time, take in some fresh air and it really helps me relax. So put some headphones in and get to the local park!
